Review

Formerly the The Ebury, now this place is unimaginatively named after its location, but its quite a location in village-like Pimlico, and a rather good gastro pub. No.11 Pimlico Road has what is best described as a country chic kitchen interior with pained wooden panels and planking, oak floor, zinc and marble-topped tables and stripped pine window shutters. The colour scheme is pastel and creamy white and the high ceilinged room, shaped like the bow of a ship, clean and bright with large arched windows on two sides. From the flowers on the table to the cream leather chairs this is a very feminine interior. Tables are for dinners and seat up to 12 but the sweeping crescent-shaped bar is suited to both drinkers and diners.

The well designed menu has something for everyone with all-day brunch on Saturdays and roasts on Sundays. Burgers come stacked high and speared with a knife - no wooden sticks here. While accompanying Bloody Marys are served with a bottle of spice mix so you can add your own spice according to taste. The house Martini No.11 cocktail appropriately boasts 11 ingredients but is more like a Sweet Martinez and includes Aperol. It's nice enough but those after a true Martini or even a Martinez will be disappointed. The cocktail selection is surprisingly good for a pub but the wine and beer selection less impressive, but with two cask conditioned ales (Redemption's Pale Ale and Hopspur) and a handful of bottled craft brews.
