Rightly praised, and the recipient of a bunch of awards, Black Pearl is the reason most drinks fans make the short trip out of the CBD to boho, shabby chic Fitzroy. That's unless, of course, they're eating at the area's many buzzing restaurants.
Dark wood, mismatched velvet and leather furnishings and muted lights make this a place to grab a sofa and settle in, at pretty much any time of day or night. And the short, inventive cocktail list is very much worth a gander. There's also an extensive menu of bar food, if you like to eat while you drink, and 20 boutique beers to tempt the palate too.
