Opened by Mourad Mazouz, the charismatic guy behind London's Momo's and Sketch, Andy Wahloo opened in 2003 on an unlikely street amongst some pretty ordinary-looking Chinese restaurants. Enter via a pretty courtyard - the entrance is to your right - with a small number of tables al fresco.
Inside, it's east meets west, with a cleverly contrived collection of graffiti, kitsch Pierre et Gilles artwork, and provocative photography. Geometric floor tiles, old Coke crates and paint pots for stools, fizzy drink bottles as ornaments, and a French electro-house soundtrack fill the space.
