High Sushi Salsa

Most visitors to Camden Lock looking for a drink at the water's edge in warmer weather will flock to an enormous Wetherspoon's pub. We prefer something a little more select, and go to Hi Sushi Salsa, an upscale Japanese restaurant next door.

Hi Sushi Salsa occupies a long and low room with sunken seating and a sunken sushi kitchen. A small bar is to your left as you enter, with a densely typed menu containing four pages of cocktails, mostly classics. Each has a picture of the glassware you should expect along with slightly over enthusiastic descriptions and sometime comedy exhortations, but we found them to be generally well-balanced drinks.

Be sure to sample the sushi, which is beautifully presented and delicious - let's just hope it didn't come out of the canal.
