What's best described as an upmarket gastro bar on the ground floor with a more alluring cocktail lounge space called the Powder Room upstairs.
Situated in a landmark heritage building called The Quadrant at the heart of the Central Business District, the attractive décor has an art deco lean with a U-shaped granite bar.
After work beer and wine best sums up the drinks offering which is bolstered by a substantial whisky selection and a half a dozen cocktails, three of which are whisky based, and from our experiences err slightly on the sweet side.
The food here is well regarded with starters such as beef tartare with diced nashi pear and mains, and baked bone marrow with chilli and konbu, with mains such as sous vide duck confit.
