This Highland malt is initially matured for a minimum of ten years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels then matured in ex-Sauternes wine casks for a further five years (formally only two years but re-launched with extended period in October 2011). Bottled without chill-filtration.

Clear, golden amber.
Honey, toasted almond and croissant crust with boozy Christmas cake, delicate oak tannins and floral violet. Lemon citrus aromas emerge with water.
Toasty malty, honey, eucalyptus and maple palate with delicate oak tannin and ginger spice.
Long, rich honeyed finish with slightly burnt toast, warming ginger and lingering faint salt and pepper.
