As it's name suggests, Strucchi Bitter Bianco is a white bittersweet liqueur. Rather than replicating the flavour of a traditional red bitter but without the colour, it is a quite different citrus-led aperitivo.
Developed by Strucchi brand ambassador Leonardo Todisco, working with founder Paolo Dalla Mora, this Bitter Bianco is flavoured with 15 botanicals, including hops, bitter orange, pink grapefruit, mandarin, wild fennel, gentian, Roman wormwood, cardamom, liquorice, clary sage and galangal.
As with the other products in the Strucchi range, Strucchi Bitter Bianco's label features an illustration by Riccardo Guasco, the internationally renowned painter and illustrator, who like Stucchi is also from Piedmont.
The Bitter Bianco label illustration pays tribute to Amalia Panigati (1901–1975), an Italian artist renowned for her fire-painted stained-glass windows still gracing churches and public buildings, including Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano).
