Rémy Martin VSOP is a fine champagne cognac blended from 240 eaux-de-vie (45% Petite Champagne and 55% Grande Champagne), aged 4-12 years with the final year of aging, after blending, in 60,000 litre vats. Packaged in a frosted green bottle since 1972 with a bold red label introduced late in 2005.

Appearance:

Clear, coppery gold.

Aroma:

Prune, dried fruit, baked pears, nuts and roasted coffee beans with burnt butter, soft roast chestnuts and faint lemon zest oils.

Taste:

Cooked and chewy palate with nutty, cracked black peppery oak, bitter-sweetness with vanilla, faint maple syrup and licorice.

Aftertaste:

Long, slightly bitter with resiny tobacco and burnt dried fruit.
