Pronounced 'zant-tay', this liqueur is based on cognac and flavoured with natural pear essence. Launched at the end of 1995, Xanté was created by Richard Heinrich, the fourth generation of distillers and blenders at Maison Heinrich, a family firm established in 1894.
Originally from Alsace, The Heinrich family moved to Belgium where they re-established their business and reputation for blending fine liqueurs. In 1997 Vin & Sprit (the owners of Absolut vodka) took a controlling interest in the business, allowing Xanté to be launched in other markets besides Scandinavia where it has already proved hugely successful.
