Atlantico is a blend of molasses and fresh cane juice based rums aged separately for 2-3 years before blending together for a further 2 years. The blend is then moved to a solera system where it is aged for up to 15 years. Prior to bottling a small amount of unaged aguardiente is added to the blend.

Each bottle is initialled and hand-numbered.

Appearance:

(sample bottle No. B5-87-65BLAA) Clear (with some small particles), deep golden amber.

Aroma:

Vanilla, toasty oak and cacao with orange zest, cooked orange juice and tobacco leaves.

Taste:

Light sweetness, rich vanilla, dried apricot, orange and tropical fruit is balanced by dry oak, coffee beans and tobacco.

Aftertaste:

Dried tropical fruit, vanilla pod, caramel and toasty oak. Lightly sugary palate followed by dry oaky finish.
