Luxardo Sambuca is a sweet and strong liqueur made from green Sicilian aniseed. The essential oils of the star anise are extracted by steam distilling and are soluble in pure alcohol. Uniquely, Luxardo's Sambuca is macerated in pure spirit and matured in Finnish ash wood vats.

Appearance:
Crystal clear
Aroma:
Pine and coriander gin-like notes with cracked black pepper, anise and black liquorice.
Taste:
Clean, rich aniseed and liquorice with subtle coriander. Appears drier than previously, with sugar balanced by the attack of alcohol and aniseed.
Aftertaste:
Long aniseed and liquorice finish.
Overall:
A well-balanced, generously flavoured, premium sambuca.
