Luxardo Sambuca is a sweet and strong liqueur made from green Sicilian aniseed. The essential oils of the star anise are extracted by steam distilling and are soluble in pure alcohol. Uniquely, Luxardo's Sambuca is macerated in pure spirit and matured in Finnish ash wood vats.
A new look lable for Luxardo Sambuca dei Cesari was launched in 2024.

Appearance:
Crystal clear
Aroma:
Pine and coriander gin-like notes with cracked black pepper, anise and black liquorice.
Taste:
Syrupy mouth feel, very sweet, clean rich aniseed and liquorice with subtle coriander.
Aftertaste:
Big aniseed finish with long lingering bitter note.
