Launched in March 2011, this rye line extension to the familiar Bulleit Bourbon whiskey has a mash comprising 95% rye and 5% malted barley, with fermentation using a proprietary yeast strain. The rye is sourced from Germany, Sweden, Canada and the USA.

Bulleit Rye Whiskey is aged in new white oak, charred barrels (No.4 char) for a minimum of four years with some whiskey in the blend being as old as seven years.

Appearance:

Clear, light amber.

Aroma:

Biscuity, buttery, batter nose with all spice, tobacco, dried tropical fruit and faint floral aromas.

Taste:

Dry, spicy and lightly oaky with sage, tobacco, maple, buttery rye and forceful black pepper.

Aftertaste:

Cracked black pepper spicy finish with cinnamon heat.
