Appearance:

(bbd 23-May-13) Pitch black with a thin tan head and medium lacing.

Aroma:

Pungent dungy farmyard, barbeque charcoal and freshly cut peat.

Taste:

Heavily roasted bitter palate with liquorice, burnt nuts, bitter dark chocolate and a good whack of hops. Slight cigarette ash-like note.

Aftertaste:

Over extracted bitter espresso coffee and pine-ey resinous hops.
