The name of this Vietnamese bitter herbal liquor translates as 'One Night, Five Times'. To quote its producers, “As the name suggests, its energizing effects are mostly felt after sunset.” [Nudge nudge wink wink squire.]

Nhaát Daï is made by macerating Vietnamese herbs in matured Sôn Tinh sticky rice spirit and is rested 5 years prior to bottling.

Appearance:

(sample distilled in 2008) Hazy, mahogany brown with bronze glints.

Aroma:

Dried berry fruit, mocha coffee and menthol with rooty and herbal aromas.

Taste:

Bittersweet with peppery spice, liquorice, coffee, chocolate with menthol freshness.

Aftertaste:

Lingering bitterness.
