Review and Tasting
Sampled on 10/10/2016
Appearance:
Clear, golden amber with shades of rose gold.
Aroma:
Acorns, orchard fruit, honeysuckle and spice. Water amplifies orchard fruitiness revealing waxiness.
Taste:
Peppery spice and pear fruit with waxiness, ginger and clove. A dash of water brings this malts elements into kilter, revealing black tea, blackcurrant and menthol cough sweets.
Aftertaste:
Waxy, leathery, soft malty finish with orchard fruit and mild spice.
Overall:
Waxy leather, orchard fruit and mild spice, this malt is incredibly quaffable – the sample provided was all too small. Incredibly fruity and sprightly for a 37 year old.
