Appearance:

Clear, crimson red.

Aroma:

Zesty citrus (particularly orange and grapefruit) with wormwood, gentian and other underlying herbs.

Taste:

Sweet berry fruit is soured by zesty citrus and complex gentian and herbal bitterness with faint black pepper and cinnamon spice.

Aftertaste:

Citrusy finish with lingering bitterness.

Overall:

A German alternative to the numerous Italian red bitter aperitivos – fruitier and less bitter than the Italian category leader.
