The second expression to be released in Torabhaig's Legacy series of single malts, released July 2021 under the label 'Allt Gleann. Each release is bottled in batches drawn from no more than 30 casks.
Allt Gleann is blended from a small parcel of casks of heavily peated whisky distilled in 2017 and 2018. The whisky was made with a mix of Concerto and Laureate malted barley with an in-grain phenol content of 77+PPM, fermented with Pinnacle MG+ and Safspirit M-1 yeasts and aged in a mix of first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and re-fill whisky barrels.
Bottled without chill-filtration or colouring and a residual phenols level of 17 PPM.

Clear, pale golden amber.
Pungent peaty heathery smoke, salty sea air, vanilla and toasty oak.
Smoky, salty tar with cinnamon and cracked black peppery spice.
Long lingering chewy bonfire smoke and salt.
Smokey, peaty and salty. Delicious neat and with a generous flavour that works brilliantly in cocktails calling for a peated malt.
