Created in 1949, this Italian aperitif is flavoured with artichoke leaves (Cynara scolymus), from which the drink derives its name and 12 other botanicals. Cynar (pronounced "chee-nahr") is usually served on-the-rocks with a slice of orange and soda or tonic as an apéritif.
Gruppo Campari have owned, manufactured and distributed Cynar since 1995.

Long lingering quinine bitterness with muddled mint stems and lightly smoky caramel.
Overall:
Bittersweet and mildly spicy with smoothing caramel richness. Enjoy chilled as an after dinner digestivo or in cocktail recipes.
