Alpeggio is a mountain pasture or hay meadow, so it's an appropriate name for this liqueur, which captures the aromas of high alpine meadows.
Wild mountain grasses and flowers are cut and left to sun dry, then infused in neural spirit to flavour this aromatic liqueur. Such liqueurs are traditional in Italy's Dolomites, through the Austrian Alps, and into Bavaria.
Haus Alpenz describes this liqueur as having "fine grassy and floral aromas, also giving notes of green tea, chocolate, honey, and a hint of cinnamon." And recommend enjoying "neat, with soda or tonic, or mix with gin, white rum, or young Scotch."
