Its Hebridean brewers describe this as being “a modern take on the classic Indian Pale Ale”, going on to say that its “citrusy in character and as light as a summer’s days on our island.”

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 21/10/2015

Appearance:

(sample best before end Dec/16) Clear, golden amber with thin but retentive ivory white head and light lacing.

Aroma:

Dried fruit, citrus zest, caramel, biscuity malt and faint herbal dried grassiness.

Taste:

Bitter grapefruit, lemon zesty and piney hops with dry herbal complexity and underlying maltiness.

Aftertaste:

Long finish fades with bitter grapefruit, lemon zesty and pine and dried grassy hops.

Overall:

This Hebridean IPA is hop led but not overly so with citrusy, piney and grassy hop flavours. It is hoppy but is far from being a hop monster.
