Crossfire Hurricane is a Jamaican rum, blended from rums distilled at four of the island's distilleries, created around the long relationship between The Rolling Stones and Jamaica, and co-founded and owned by the band.

The Crossfire Hurricane name comes from the opening line of The Rolling Stones' 1968 single Jumpin' Jack Flash: "I was born in a crossfire hurricane."

Crossfire Hurricane Gold is positioned as the versatile expression in the range, suitable for cocktails and mixed drinks while retaining sufficient character to drink neat.

The blend combines fresh pot-still rum, bringing tropical-fruit character, with smoother column-distilled rum matured in relatively young oak. A proportion of aged high-ester rum adds another aromatic layer with characteristic Jamaican funk.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Zesty tangerine, gingerbread and nutmeg with canelé pâtisserie, vanilla, pineapple, overripe banana, shoe polish and tar.

Taste:

Medium-bodied and generous. Seville marmalade, canelé pâtisserie and warm cinnamon and nutmeg spice.

Aftertaste:

Lingering spice with blackened fruit cake and canelé.

Overall:

Jamaican character, including a touch of funk, shines in this dry, fruity rum. Use in cocktails as a "Jamaican-style aged blended rum with funk" or, better still, trade up to Crossfire Hurricane Reserve.
