This joven (young) Mezcal is double distilled in the village of Santiago de Matatlán, Oaxaca from 100% lowland grown Espadin agave by Master Mezcalero Zosimo Mendez, using a copper pot still in batches of around 1,000 litres.

(sample lot number QJ02-13) Crystal clear.

Μύτη:

Pungent asphalt and bonfire smoke with coal tar/soot, vanilla, new leather and nutmeg.

Στόμα:

Slight underlying vegetal sweetness with drying wood smoke, earthy notes, delicate apricot fruit and cracked black pepper spice.

Επίγευση:

Slightly sweet and spicy with hints of dark chocolate and lingering smoke.
