A plant originally from Europe, blackcurrants are strongly identified with France, mainly due to crème de cassis, the blackcurrant liqueur. Monin Blackcurrant Syrup has a concentrated blackcurrant flavour and can be used as an alternative to cassis in non-alcoholic cocktails.
