Inspiration:
For me, art is any human activity shaped by knowledge, practice, perception, imagination, and intuition. Inspired by this, I see art in the exchange between humanity and nature. Marketplaces, once gateways to the world, spread knowledge and flavors-much like social media today. In Florence, monks brought the art of Rosolio-making from Spain, embraced by the Medici and spread through Catherine de Medici's marriage. In my drink for the Art of Italicus Challenge, I blend flavors from different Italian regions, capturing the beauty of Italy. I imagine Catherine admiring wonders like the Grotta di Capri and Italy's many Gothic buildings.
