Absolut Vanilia is flavoured with vanilla from Madagascar.

Launched in the USA, Absolut's main market, in 2003. Originally presented in frosty silver-white space-like bottles, as Absolut Vanilia's official launch date of 15th March loomed, back in Sweden they were experiencing problems applying the finish to the bottles. Production was delayed but they met the deadline by airlifting 198,000 bottles in four Jumbo Jets.

Early in 2022, Absolut Vanilia underwent another makeover but as the previous pained cross on the bottle turned into a broad brush stroke on the back, at a stroke, the alcohol strength was also reduced from 40% to 38% alc./vol..

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Reminiscent of vanilla ice cream with cracked black pepper. Faint bread and dark chocolate.

Taste:

Vanilla with white and bitter dark chocolate, delicate butterscotch, brown bread and assertive peppery spirituous spice.

Aftertaste:

Vanilla and black pepper spice.

Overall:

One of the original vanilla-flavoured vodkas. It may smell a little like vanilla ice cream, but this vodka is bone dry with a vanilla and white chocolate flavour and black pepper spirituous spice.
