Pronounced ‘Och-un-tosh-un’ this is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to triple distil its whisky. Aged a minimum of 12 years in casks of which 23-30% are sherry seasoned casks with the balance being ex-bourbon barrels.

Appearance:

Clear, burnished copper appearance.

Aroma:

There is something of a hint toasted bread, toffee and barbeque sauce to the lightly spiced nose.

Taste:

Generously flavoured palate has toasted nut, pine sap and a touch of toffee coated dried banana,

Aftertaste:

Smoke emerges in the more challenging finish.
