Launched in April 2010, Glen Garioch 12 Years Old is made using malts predominantly aged in American oak ex-bourbon barrels with a small percentage (approx. 20%) also aged in Spanish oak sherry-seasoned butts. Bottled without chill-filtration at high strength.

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Cinnamon, clove and buttery leather, vanilla, brazil nut, treacle, fudge and poached pears. Water amplifies spice and vanilla pastry.

Taste:

Rich, fruity and spicy with browned butter malt and creamy mouth feel. Nutty, crème brûlée, overripe banana, stewed pear and vanilla with a blast of spicy oak.

Aftertaste:

Fruit wood spicy finish.
