Launched in 2010, Brasserie Dupont's Brewmaster, Olivier Dedeycker, has revived a 1950s stout recipe originally brewed by his grandfather. Made using Dupont's own yeast.
Sampled on 01/04/2012
Slight sediment, very dark reddy brown - almost black, with long lasting beige head and slight lacing.
Heavily roasted espresso coffee and molasses. Very slight whiff of farmyard.
Bitter, heavily roasted palate with charcoal and liquorice.
Slightly smoky peaty finish.
