Comte de Lauvia is the second marque of Marquis de Montesquiou and this Bas Armagnac is distilled from fermented ugni blanc and folle blanche grapes before aging in black oak casks from the local forests for at least five years.
Sampled on 29/05/2012
Clear, dark coppery amber with burnished bronze highlights.
Dry fruit with smoky bacon fat, almond, vanilla, old leather and old oak wardrobe.
Orange zest, vanilla and cinnamon spiced oak with stewed plums and maple syrup.
Cinnamon spiced varnished oak (in a beguiling way).
