Distilled in 1964 and aged for 46 years in an American oak ex-bourbon cask followed by finishing in Fino Sherry cask, just 72 bottles were made available globally when released in July 2012.
Brodie Nairn and Nichola Burns, two of Scotland’s foremost glass artists were commissioned to design the hand-blown bottle which takes inspiration from the waves of Islay’s Loch Indaal. Embellishments such as the solid silver neck collars and stoppers wher made by Hamilton & Inches, Edinburgh’s leading jewellers. The bottle is presented in a oak crate-like box.
This 1964 Bomore follows in the footsteps of the sought-after Bowmore 1964 Trilogy. Beginning in 2007 and ending in 2009, the Trilogy was the first of the 1964 compendium to be released, and with just a few hundred bottles ever produced, is very collectable.
