This heavily sherried single cask speyside single malt is a third-party bottling Master of Malt who released 548 bottles in October 2012. Bottled at cask strength without colouring or chill-filtration.
Sampled on 19/11/2012
Clear, deep coppery golden amber.
Pungent eucalyptus and stewed plums with passion fruit, star fruit and tannic red wine-like notes. Water releases cloudy apple juice and earthy humid greenhouse growing tomato plants with faint peatyness.
Dry sherried green palate with cut grass on compost heap, 90% cocoa bitter chocolate and burnt cereal notes.
Biscuity mocha espresso with mint freshness. As with so many sherry malts this does not take water well.
