Review and Tasting

Sampled on 19/11/2012

Appearance:

Clear, deep coppery golden amber.

Aroma:

Pungent eucalyptus and stewed plums with passion fruit, star fruit and tannic red wine-like notes. Water releases cloudy apple juice and earthy humid greenhouse growing tomato plants with faint peatyness.

Taste:

Dry sherried green palate with cut grass on compost heap, 90% cocoa bitter chocolate and burnt cereal notes.

Aftertaste:

Biscuity mocha espresso with mint freshness. As with so many sherry malts this does not take water well.
