Jamie Stephenson, the multi-award and competition winning mixologist, helped design the ergonomic bottle in which the Volare range of liqueurs come packaged. It’s perfectly weighted and ribs run around the bottle’s belly and neck to make it easier to grip with wet hands.

Unscrew the capsule and you are in for a real surprise as a pourer pops up out of the bottle to allow you to effortlessly dispense without losing a drip. This natty system is branded ‘Pro-pour’ and although I worry it could get stuck due to the sugar in the liqueurs it certainly aids pouring in the short term.

Review and Tasting

Sampled before 1st May 2011

Appearance:

.

Aroma:

Strawberry jelly – still in its cubed form and straight out the cellophane.

Taste:

Very light, clean palate also reminds me of strawberry jelly, rather than fresh luscious fruit, perhaps with a hint of watermelon. This is not in the same league as some of the wonderfully natural tasting French crèmes de fraise but pleasant enough poured over your fruit salad.
