Harry Brompton’s London Ice tea proudly claims to be “the World’s first premium alcoholic Ice Tea”. The Lightly sparkling drink is made with ethically sourced Kenyan black teas, “craft-distilled grain spirit and infused with natural citrus.”

Harry Brompton’s contains no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives and is gluten free.

We are told that Harry Brompton is responsible for sourcing the ingredients but the company is run by father and son, Martin and Ian O’Donohue, and Ian’s best friend Philip Harding. They perceived a gap in the market for a premium alcoholic iced tea and Harry Brompton’s in June 2013.

Appearance:

(sample best before 06.Nov.14) Clear, deep amber with plentiful small bubbles.

Aroma:

Breakfast black tea, caramel and prunes.

Taste:

Black tea and caramel with soft dry tea tannins and subtle citrus balanced with very light sweetness.

Aftertaste:

Fading black tea with light tannins and citrus.
