Review and Tasting

Sampled on 10/10/2016

Appearance:

(sample bottle BB May 2017) Clear, deep coppery amber and a thin but retentive off-white head with spotted lacing.

Aroma:

Caramel and nuts with lime zest, leather, chocolate and mild grassy and floral hops.

Taste:

Medium to full-bodied, crisp and clean with attractive nuttiness.

Aftertaste:

More nuttiness in the dry mildly grassy hop finish.

Overall:

A slightly fuller-bodied version of Camden’s Hells, Oktober Fest is attractively nutty with mild grassy and floral hops.
