Review and Tasting

Sampled on 27/10/2016

Appearance:

Clear, deep golden amber.

Aroma:

Red apple, zesty lemon and lime, and cooked red berries with toasty malt, vanilla fudge, light earthy smoky peat and cinnamon. Water amplifies toasty malt, vanilla and citrus zest.

Taste:

Full-bodied and dry with spicy oak, mild peat smoke, cinnamon and white pepper spice, creamy milk chocolate and vinous fruit. Takes water well, revealing zesty tangerine, biscuity malt and vanilla.

Aftertaste:

Long dry finish with lingering peat smoke and spice.

Overall:

A big robust malt with dry spicy oak, mild peat smoke, cinnamon and white pepper spice tamed and made more interesting by creamy milk chocolate, vinous fruit and vanilla.
