Appearance:

Clear, pale golden with greenish tinges.

Aroma:

Gooseberry, pear, light honey, apple and honeysuckle with lime zest.

Taste:

Tart lime and grapefruit zest with crisp apple, jasmine, lime zest and herbal notes.

Aftertaste:

Herbal and grassy with tart gooseberry, apple, grapefruit and lime zest.

Overall:

One of the best-known Albariños, Martin Códax is made by a large cooperative and is consistently good. This 2014 is tart herbal and grassy with citrus and white floral notes.
