Released on the 14th September 2009, this is the first of what is promised to be a series of small batch Bowmore bottlings. Tempest was bottled at natural cask strength and 2,000 cases were produced.

Sampled on 11/05/2011

Appearance:

Bright golden

Aroma:

(reduced to approx 43%) Sea salt and vanilla rich orange crème brûlée with wisps of smoke.

Taste:

The palate starts sweetly but is quickly dried by medium peaty smoke and fresh bursts of lemon and orange.

Aftertaste:

The long bitter finish starts with sea salt and fades with notes of smoky iodine.
