This Scottish old tom is distilled in Glasgow with botanicals including juniper, angelica, black pepper, liquorice, coriander, orange peel, lemon peel, sweet almond and honey.

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Piney juniper, linseed oil putty (angelica perhaps) and black liquorice with zesty citrus.

Taste:

Juniper forward (piney) with woody angelica, sweet almond, black pepper spice and delicate citrus.

Aftertaste:

Zesty citrus, piney juniper and cracked black pepper spice with faint nutty linseed.

Overall:

A beautifully balanced, very characterful gin which is reassuringly dry in character for an old tom. Juniper forward with pleasing nutty linseed notes. The use of black pepper adds a pronounced spice which slightly detracts from other more delicate botanicals.
