Review and Tasting

Sampled on 14/03/2019

Appearance:

Clear, pale burgundy red.

Aroma:

Berry fruit (cherry and raspberry jam) with light peppery spice and underlying gin.

Taste:

Initial sweetness quickly dries with fruit tannins and spirituous spice. Good jammy and stewed berry flavour presented harmoniously with the gin.

Aftertaste:

Tart jammy berry flavours with lightly spicy piney juniper.

Overall:

It’s hard to fault this traditionally styled sloe gin which has just enough sugar to balance berry tartness. Lighter in style than some other sloe gins.
