Review and Tasting

Sampled on 04/11/2021

Appearance:

Clear, deep plum red.

Aroma:

Blackcurrant, blackberry, dark chocolate and ripe plum with pine needles.

Taste:

Dark berry fruit and ripe plum with dry assertive tannins balancing rich jammy fruitiness. Faint pine notes add depth of flavour.

Aftertaste:

Chocolate notes emerge alongside pine in the well-balanced black fruit finish.

Overall:

A familiar and safe branded wine which at a sub-£10 price point delivers superb value for money. Classically Cab Sauv fruit-forward but balanced.
