Ramsbury describe their Honey Bee Nectar as "a perfect example of a sweet, honeyed beer." The result of a cooperation with North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (ANOB), all of this beer's ingredients, save the hops, come from within the AONB, including honey from the Ramsbury Estate.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 06/06/2022

Appearance:

Slightly hazy golden amber.

Aroma:

Honey-soaked white bread with grassy hops.

Taste:

Medium-bodied. Assertive hop bitterness is perhaps more pronounced than the pleasing honey notes which are accompanied by toasty maltiness.

Aftertaste:

Honey lingers with grassy hops.

Overall:

This is a very well balanced "honeyed pale ale" with honey flavours but not excessive honey sweetness thanks to assertive grassy hops.
