Agwa liqueur contains distillates from Bolivian coca leaves, Chinese ginseng and Brazilian guarana. To make Agwa, bales of coca leaves are imported into the Netherlands from Bolivia, then macerated and distilled by a pharmaceutical company, which also removes the cocaine residue from the leaves.

In the South American Andes coca leaf is legally served as a tea or chewed raw to stimulate oxygen circulation at high altitude.

Appearance:

Clear, bright lime green.

Aroma:

Herbal, minty, menthol with pine and eucalyptus.

Taste:

Syrupy mouth feel, minty, menthol with herbal flavours, eucalyptus and spicy black pepper and clove.

Aftertaste:

Strong and long lingering herbal menthol, cracked black pepper and clove spice.
