alc./vol: 5%

Vintage: Non-vintage

Aged: Unaged

Kingfisher Ultra was launched in India in 2009 in response to the demand for premium beers in Kingfisher's domestic market, where it has almost half of the beer market share.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 21/11/2024

Appearance:

Clear, golden amber with a short-lived white foamy head.

Aroma:

Subtle malt and sweetcorn with faint citrus.

Taste:

Light bready maltiness and sweet corn with delicate citrusy hop bitterness.

Aftertaste:

Clean, dry finish with mild maltiness.

Overall:

The clear bottle (store in a dark place to avoid becoming light-struck) detracts from a lager that will please many and upset few. The rip-pull cap negates the need for a bottle opener but strangely also detracts from the "Ultra" premium presentation.
