To garnish, place a maraschino cherry in the base of your glass. Using a seperate orange peel, cut a perfect circle, thick to the edges and place coin neatly on the surface of your drink to resemble a nose.
Combine all ingredients except garnishes in a stirring tin
Fill tin to the brim with ice straight from the freezer
Stir for roughly 45 seconds until properly diluted
Pour your cocktail through a julep strainer into a chilled nick and Nora glass.
Express an orange peel over the surface of your drink and rub glasses stem and bowl with said peel. Discard peel.

| 1 fl oz | Cognac (brandy) |
| 1/3 fl oz | Rosso/rouge/sweet vermouth (di Torino) |
| 1/12 fl oz | Sugar syrup 'rich' (2 sugar to 1 water, 65.0°Brix) |
| 1/6 fl oz | Peated single malt whisky |
| 2 drops | Orange bitters |
| 1 drop | Chocolate bitters |
