Celebrate Australian Cocktail Month at Grain Bar, Friday 21 May.
Sydney's Grain Bar are throwing a cocktail party to kickstart your weekend, this Friday (May 21). The CBD bar on George Street, known for its innovative and hyper-tasty drinks, is partnering with Australian Cocktail Month to bring this celebration to life. And what are we celebrating exactly? Only the fact that May was turned into a nationwide homage of mixed drinks, great venues, Aussie-based bartenders and the incredible spirits we get to enjoy here as part of our vibrant bar scene.
Essentially, we're celebrating Australian Cocktail Month itself, and the last week we've got of enjoying discounted crafted cocktails in all the best venues across Sydney, Brissy, Melbourne and Adelaide.
Here's what to expect on the night - Grain Bar is set in the glitzy Four Seasons, acting as the hotel's designer cocktail bar. It's moody and sleek - exactly what you want when sipping cocktails - and there'll be DJ to set the mood (and we can officially dance again so what better way to celebrate than hitting the DF) plus delicious desserts for everyone to keep them fueled long into the night.
The party kicks off early, ensuring Grain Bar is ready to host you as soon as you knock off. It's free to attend but the discounted drinks are only accessible with your ACM ticket (not got one? you can gran your ticket here.)
Once you've got that you can enjoy Grain Bar's Australian Cocktail Month serves throughout the party for just $14. Choose from the delicious Rocks Highball with Naked Grouse Whisky, fresh apple, fresh lemon, Monin sugar syrup, peach liqueur and Fever-Tree Ginger Beer or the dangerously good Liquid Therapist with Feels Botanical Vivify, Select Aperitivo, and fresh orange topped up with Fever-Tree Yuzu Soda. Not a big drinker? Grain Bar are also serving their non-alc Reviver with Lyre's Coffee Originale, Lyre's Aperitif Rosso, grapefruit cordial topped with Fever-Tree Indian Tonic Water.
To celebrate the party we're giving away two sets of four tickets so you and your mates can head down and blast off the working week. To enter simply like our post on instagram and tag the three friends you're bringing with you! Competition closes Wednesday 19th at 11pm.
New cocktails to try, all at a discounted price, in pretty much all of Australia's best bars - sounds great, right? You had us at cocktails... so how do you get involved?
Australian Cocktail Month, founded by Penny Sippe, is running in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide for its first year. Tickets for the festival cost $20 and they're valid for all May, in all 72 bars taking part. You can buy your ticket here. At each venue ticket-holders can access the bar's Australian Cocktail Month menu which will have $14 boozy drinks and $10 non-alcoholic options.
