Kilchoman (pronounced ‘Kilh-O-Man) is farm-based distillery, growing its own barley and with its own floor maltings. The first new distillery built on Islay for 125 years, production started at what is one of the smallest and the most westerly distilleries in Scotland in late 2005.
Tours of the distillery are available at 11am and 3pm - admission £4.50 per person including a tasting. There is also a managers tour every Wednesday at 2pm (booking is advisable) admission £20.
