Cherry Rocher sits on the main road through the small town of Bourgoin-Jallieu in the Rhône-Alpes, 35 kilometres (22 miles) southeast of Lyon. This is where the distillery was established in 1705 and the old still room is preserved in the museum, alongside the small shop and visitor center. Maceration and distillation now takes place in the modern facility behind.

The distillates and infusions produced here are sent to the distillery's more modern sister site in Bourgoin-Jallieu for blending and filling.
