Made this with Clonakilty, Benedictine cut to 20 ml with 2 5 ml honey syrup, and ginger beer. Wish someone would bottle this as a hard ginger beer. Not bad.

Drambuie notes quite strong, but taste better than Drambuie + ginger ale

I agree. Drambuie was a tad domineering, as was the whiskey. Hence, I have reduced these by 25% from David's original recipe to leave room for more ginger beer. I also cut the bitters back by a dash each.
