I can vouch for this, they will go bad. With the amount of sugar, am quite happy to just keep them on a shelf and have not been sick.

I had them out of a fridge after opening for about 3 months and then they were fridges until used. Seemed fine. As you say the sugar content should keep them good. Just to be safe I will keep next jar in the fridge

Sorry, Sandip. The jar doesn't say that you shouldn't refrigerate. The jar says, "Once opened keep the jar closed in a cool dry place, do not freeze." While you shouldn't freeze, it is best to keep the jar refrigerated once opened.
