This is incredible! I used my last drop of Ango on this and it's so good. Amazing work Jessi!
Will try some red, orange and green drinks tonight.....
One of the best sellers at the bar i bartend, but i prefer the ratios:
Bourbon 35ml
Fernet Branca 25ml
Lemon Juice 20ml
Simple 15ml
This way it got a warmer mouthfeel and has a little extra kick
This is a great recipe variation. I use Woodford Reserve so there's a little bit more kick there too
I can vouch for this, they will go bad. With the amount of sugar, am quite happy to just keep them on a shelf and have not been sick.
I had them out of a fridge after opening for about 3 months and then they were fridges until used. Seemed fine. As you say the sugar content should keep them good. Just to be safe I will keep next jar in the fridge
Quite a good drink this. Like others say it has a candy-like lightness to it and the gin, Tanqueray 43% (old school) really comes out. Probably worth trying again with another gin to see how the flavours of that gin are brought forward. The saline also helps bring some flavours out.
Woof this is very nice. Everything blends together so well. Will definitely make again
Quite nice. A good reason to use up that raspberry vodka. Tart and sweet and has that zest from the Cointreau.
Yeah this is alright but nothing special. I didn't put the egg in because it's not my thing so that might affect things but yeah, it's nice enough to drink but not one I'd remember being great.
Hmm. A very interesting cocktail, a lot of punchy flavours, the orange and lemon comes out very strong and the double vanilla gives it a weird gelato in Bologna feel. I like it
The bar this was invented at is now Swift, which isn't a bad transition at all
Very refreshing. Was looking for something to use up my limes with and this works so well for a quenching drink. Nothing fancy, does what it does
Ooh this is really nice. A bit tart maybe because of my lemons so might need tweaking but it's got the Bergamot and herbal notes from the amaro. Very nice and tasty
I do a 90ml vermouth/15ml cassis/120ml soda method. You're right it does taste like cola when the proportions are done right.
A very underrated cocktail using simpler spirits/liqueurs
Was in Valencia last week and had a few of these. It is pure lethality in a glass mixed with that heat and humidity. Delicious, but lethal.
Instead of the cream I add some coconut dairy free yoghurt. Want to add some of the M&S coconut ice cream as well to really experiment with the recipe.
I found a bottle today for £45 ?
Absolutely had to snap it up
Yeah I really like this. Back in March I wasted our parties evening trying to get us into Drink Kong, place was empty but reservation only. Shame as turning away 4 people willing to spend a decent amount in an hour or two is a lot of money but regardless, the place looked great.
A great drink, tastes exactly as something should from a top end bar.
Had this bad boy at Satans Whiskers today, as their menu changes daily I had to have it. Really nice and complex and with Chartreuse being so hard to find atm I had to take advantage.
Yeah I like this. I've got one of those nuclear non Monin passionfruit syrups so I went with 2.5ml of it
I've just made this now with lime Stoli vodka. It's interesting, you get a lot more lime notes without the acidity. Might try making this with orange vodka next as well
I had this at Satan's Whiskers yesterday and it was awesome. The guy who invented it owns SW. It's a great bar in London, definitely visit it
Big fan of this. Very much something I'd pay £10-12 for
Definitely needs the bitters as it would be a bit basic without (even better doubled up to 2 dashes). Reminiscent of cola but in a good way
Yeah it's alright. Your idea of double bitters is better and I do get the cola taste, but again always depends on what whisky and vermouth used. I used Walker red and Cocchi storico
